Tūmeke Tumuaki – You’re the Best! Whakanuia
A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Tūmeke Tumuaki – a chance for schools all over Aotearoa to thank their principals for everything they do.
There’s a whakataukī that says:
"Kāore te kūmara e kī ana mō tōna ake reka."
The kūmara does not speak of its own sweetness.
Mr Lamont is humble and never talks about all the great things he does for our kura – but we will!
Here’s what some of our tamariki said:
“Thank you for being an awesome principal, not only to me but to everyone in the kura.” Eliana.
“You are really very super funny and helpful”. Grayson.
“Thank you for being a great principal”. Stevie
“Hi, Mr. Lamont I just want to say thank you for being a great and supportive principal.” Tipene
“Thank you for supporting me with my writing.” Honour.
We want to whakanuia ki a Mr Lamont and say a huge mihi nui – you make our kura an awesome place to learn, play and grow.
