Over the past week tamariki have been planting some of the plants gifted to us by the Hutt City Council as a part of the Mouri Tupu campaign to plant 114,000 native trees and plants Lower Hutt region (one for every person in Lower Hutt).

We have been adding to the plants that we already have on our bank at school and look forward to nurturing these as they grow.  It has been great to see tamariki being so enthusiastic about joining in with this initiative. Thanks to our new board member Jack, and Michelle, from EnviroSchool for coming to help out.

FRUIT TREES FOR OUR SCHOOL

In 2022 a keen group of seniors helped plant fruit trees gifted to us by the Hutt City Council and Northern Community Funding Panel.  We added apple, peach, feijoa, pear trees and a grape vine to our expanding orchard behind the old playground and next to the pool.
