The KAURI team - Rooms 23, 4 and 5 enjoyed a wonderful outing to Petone Beach on the second to last day of Term One.

The weather was kind, so the children were able to partake in a wide range of activities on the foreshore. These included: learning about the harbour and the legend of the taniwha, visiting the museum, doing a scavenger hunt, creating sculptures out of sand and shells, playing on the playground; and last but not least - cleaning up the beach with the help of Room 4's Sea Cleaner's Kit.

Thank you to all the parents who joined the trip and shared lunch with their children.  It was a great way to end the term.
