WHAKAUTE / RESPECT Room 9
Tamariki in Room 9 were focusing on our school value of Whakaute/Respect last week and created some wonderful posters that Tipene and Stevie took around the classrooms for them to display.
It was wonderful to see the tamariki aspiring to do their best work so it could be displayed proudly around the school. KA rawe!

STAR ROOM 7 WRITERS
Whakaute (respect) looks like treating people the same. Packing up after yourself so your whānau (family) or Kaiako (teacher) doesn’t need to pack up after you.
When visitors come over you be kind.
You don’t only whakaute people you know, you be respectful to everyone so everyone feels respected.
If you respect everyone, it will make school a welcoming place.

I am an octopus called Muturangi. I am going to tell you my story about how Kupe tried to kill me!
I was pleasantly?? Eating my lunch when Kupe started chasing me. I was terrified!
I fled for my life, until Kupe cornered me. He went to sleep for the night.
That was my moment of triumph. I escaped that night.
Wait, what was that sound??
Oh, here it goes again.
