Student Permission Form

Koraunui School Room 1213

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Your child will be taking part in the Love Seaweed / rimurimu programme with Mountains to Sea education team this year. Throughout the programme students will be investigating life in the Wellington region coastal areas during guided field studies and will develop science skills and an awareness of the local area, and environmental issues.

The MTSW educators and the School will manage all aspects of the field trips and MTSW will provide all equipment, instruction, resources and safety management for in-water activities.

You are welcome to attend these exciting field trips, and to help us ensure we have enough adult support to meet required safety ratios of 1 adult to 2 children for in-water activities. We require a 1:2 adult to student ratio for snorkelling and 1:6 for shore activities. There will be a maximum of 16 students snorkelling at one time. So, this means we will need 8 snorkelling adults, plus 3-4 on shore.
